Use our interlibrary loan (ILL) service to request research materials not available via the Lloyd Sealy Library. These materials can include articles, book chapters and books, though some restrictions may apply to specific titles. Visit the interlibrary loan homepage to start requesting materials by logging in with your John Jay College email username and password.
If this is your first time using our ILL service, you’ll be prompted to register with our ILL system. After you register, complete the request form that corresponds to the type of material you are requesting. For example, complete an article request form if you are requesting an article.
When your item arrives, we will email you. Book chapters and articles will be available within your ILL account and downloadable for a 30-day period from the day it was received. Physical books will be held at the circulation desk located near the entrance of the Library until it is due. Book chapters and articles can take a couple of business days to arrive, depending on the title. Books can take a week or two to arrive, again depending on the title and its availability.
If you have any questions about ILL, please email us at [email protected].
