Will you join us for the second installment of the Spring 2026 Library Author Series? This one is quite graphic!
Medar de la Cruz is a Dominican-American cartoonist based in Brooklyn. A graduate of Art Center College of Design, he has illustrated for The New York Times and The New Yorker. He volunteers, providing book cart services at Rikers Island, and is a Pulitzer Prize winner for Illustrated Reporting and Commentary. His prize-winning article in the New Yorker, “Diary of a Rikers Island Library Worker,” is on its way to becoming a book.
He’ll talk with us about his writing process on Wednesday, March 4 in the Library Classroom during Community Hour (1:40 pm – 3:00 pm). The Classroom can be found on the Library’s upper level.
This in-person event is free to attend, but please reserve your seat.
